We strive to protect our youth by working to reduce substance misuse through prevention, collaboration and pursuing resources.
You’ll find us out in the community educating youth on the risks and harms of substance misuse, encouraging quit resources especially for teens, and spreading awareness about important laws in Kansas that protect against underage use.

Big things are happening at Independence High School thanks to Bailey Cole! As the school nurse and newest sponsor on our task force, Bailey is helping students stay informed and empowered through prevention education focused on vaping and substance abuse. She even created a special prevention resource space in the IHS clinic where students can grab helpful information, resources, and support anytime they need it
